Winter in North Texas -- white out conditions -- at least 45 wrecks -- highways closed down due to snow and congestion.  I really wish we could deal with this better.

Anyway -- here are the the pics to prove it --

These are from early this morning

Just to make you jealous, it's been a glorious day here! Actually, you are really making me appreciate our spring!

Mary -- No, not jealous -- happy that you are having a great day! It was like spring here for several days a week ago. This is just Texas -- it is what it is as they say.

Gill -- no kidding! This mess was expected and yet no schools or businesses were closed until after it became a mess. The highways are closed down and people are stuck on them. It is just miserable and they keep saying we don't need resources because "this happens so rarely" -- yes, just once or twice or maybe three times a year. Blah....

Jane -- I know it seems comical to those north of us but we don't have the resources to deal with it and everybody just gets stranded and there are so many wrecks and it is just miserable.

For a minute I thought I stumbled on the wrong blog ;)--never imagined I'd be seeing this.

Not that I'm wishing for more snow mind you, but I'll take snowstorms over ice storms. There's just no controlling a car with icy roads--terribly dangerous. Feel for those people being stranded on the road.

I hope your crabapple tree blossoms survived. Foul weather gives you chance to tidy more--or opt for a good book.

Stay warm.
