The Simple Woman's Daybook

Outside my window I see the heat rising and the flowers wilting and it is only 8:50 a.m.

I am thinking about my day and all I need to get accomplished.

From the learning rooms I am learning about the rosary.

I am thankful for today, my family, my faith.

From the kitchen I am just sayin' that the Williams Sonoma Food Made Fast cookbooks are pretty awesome.

I am wearing capris, a shirt, my DOK cross and again -- no shoes!

I am reading -- still -- "The Shroud of the Thwacker". I am afraid Animal Crossing has really bitten into my reading time -- not good.

I am hoping that today goes my quickly and that I get everything accomplished.

I am creating absolutely nothing right now -- the quilting is halted, the Christmas crafts have been gathering dust -- Animal Crossing time again. I think it is time for an intervention! Or a timer!

I am praying for Allen's safe return tomorrow.

Around the house it is clean up day!

One of my favorite things is trying a new dish and having it come out like the picture!

A few plans for the rest of the week include babysitting Nathan and Kathryn (yay!), a dental appointment and a date with the hubby for our anniversary.

A picture thought I am sharing with you

That is such a lovely picture! Where is it? I wanna go there.

Why are you spending so much time with the animals? And where do they cross? Guess I'm going to have to check out the website. Reminds me of those talking robots they had out a few years ago. I had one and I had to talk to it and sing to it and dance with it all day to keep it from dying. It nearly drove me bananas.

this photo is somewhere in London. I have no idea where because we were there the week after the bus and the underground were bombed so we were on foot, above ground and walked EVERYWHERE -- for miles and miles! I thought this was just a really lovely little place -- with chairs to sit in and rest my weary little feet.

Ok, I amplaying Animal Crossing, City Folk -- a video game for the Wii. Basically, there is a town and all the inhabitant are animals, very human like animals, and you are the only human. You make a living by fishing and picking fruit. There is a museum and a a cafe and a tailor and a store and and you shop and do business, like sell your fruit and fish to the shop keeper. The neat thing is that you can go to other towns and visit with your friends over this neat little microphone that works on the internet and I can go to Brianna's town and talk to her. There is also a bus that takes you to the city and there you can go to the beauty shop and the movie and the upscale home store. It is a huge amount of fun and kills enormous amounts of time. There are several places on the internet that list "cheats" so you don't have to just figure out how something works, it tells you. Today Brianna had a lost kitten in her town that straggled in from one of her friends towns and she had to get it back home. It is pure silliness but so much fun! Until one of your animals gets sick, however, then you have to take care of them. This is sort of like the robotic animals, Furby's weren't they but they don't keep going in the night while you are off line. Now, in the Sims game they do, I think but in this one when you shut down so do they.

Update

Ok, so we visited our cardiologist yesterday to get the lay of the land for the Hubs.  Seems there is an issue with one of the grafts from ...
