Proof that Prayers Get Answered!

It has been months since we have had any measurable rain in the DFW area.  We have had wildfires, our yards die, we have had to water the wildlife ourselves because everything has dried up.  Well, for those of us who pray, it has been an active prayer season looking for relief of the miserable drought and heat.

Well, it is broken.  Those prayers have been answered.  The temps have come down along with massive amounts of rain and you can just feel a change in the air — mostly because now it is too cool in the house with the a/c on.

However, just like usual in Texas, we aren’t having a nice steady rain — we are having a flood.  We can’t ever just have a nice, steady rain - overnight, which makes sleeping great - it is either flooding or storming or producing dangerous lightening but I am not complaining.  We desperately need this rain and I am thankful for it.

So, enjoy these snaps!

It's great that you finally got a good rain. Too bad it couldn't have been a more gentle one but I'm sure it will green things up nicely. We're still waiting....

Yes, it rained! We have gotten way over 8 inches and the temperatures have fallen nicely. We had managed to keep our lawn going ok but for a hefty price, and that kind of watering isn’t nearly as good as rain — I promise you as I sat on the patio watching the dog slosh around in the yuck I could see the grass growing! It was a glorious sight!

Update

Yes, it has been a month — and what a month it has been.  Long story short all the grafts from my husbands bypass surgery have disappeared ...
