Booking Through Thursday

Do you cheat and peek at the ends of books?  (Come on, be honest).

Boringly enough, no, I don't.  I like the process of reading and I don't like jumping ahead.  I don't even jump through slow parts.  Regardless of the genre, I like to have the story build and peak, I am  not in a hurry just to get to the end.  To me, reading a book is akin to watching a movie -- it has to unfold.

I don't peek at the endings, but occasionally if there's a long and drawn out scene... like a battle, for example... I'll just sort of skim through to the end of it. Sometimes too much detail weighs me down LOL

LOl! Yeah, I know what you mean about detail -- I really do try to read through it but there are some books that have gotten the best of me -- "Bramwell Valley" to be exact.

sometimes I look ahead, but I don't consider it cheating.

You have much more self-discipline than I do - but then, we knew that. I don't usually peek at endings, but I can't say I've never done it.
