Friday Finds

Friday Finds is a meme hosted by Jenn at Books and A Beat.  The idea is to post interesting book finds for that particular week.

I have three such finds for this week that I would like to share  --

All the Single Ladies by Dorothea Benton Frank
Delicious! by Ruth Reich
Black Rabbit Hall by Eve Chase

They are all very different from each other and I expect to enjoy them all -- especially intrigued by Black Rabbit Hall.

Another find this week isn't a book but rather this video --

Isn't she adorable?  Sassy -- yessssss  Attitudinal?  Oh yeah.  But I think she is great! All credit to Mirella Betsworth.

So, Happy Friday 13thwithfullmoon to everybody!! Muaaaahhhh!

Funny! I remember liking nails and nail polish, lipstick and eye shadow when I was a child. Now my hands look best to me when the nails are very short. Also, I have zero lipstick skills. LOL! Happy day! Happy reading, BB!

I think most little girls like those things -- Bean has a varied assortment of nail polish -- light green, light blue and light pink. She likes it from time to time. She loves the Eos lip balm and carries it in her handbag (her Vera Bradley) like "a real lady". I see nothing wrong with it until you get to the next video where the sweet little sassy thing is apologizing for spilling the nail "varnish" all over and swears not to do it again ever. Supervision, people, supervision. Which brings me to the permanent, although non-toxic, ink pads I bought for Bean the other day. Bad move. Won't be using those again and the ink will eventually come off. I think.

Ha ha! I know what you mean! Our grands gravitate toward my special art supplies and I continue to be selfish Granny. Mine.
Years ago my older sister gave our 2 year old Kelli a lipstick and she found it while she was supposed to be napping and drew a man (her best one!) on her bedroom wall.

Oh, Pom Pom -- I don't know about these artistic kids. Reminds me of my own and pumpkins. My son decided to draw a whole field of black and brown pumpkins, with crayons, on his bedroom wall at about a 3 year old height. Well, I was completely amazed that when my daughter was about the same age, she drew the same pumpkins (could she have had help? Hmmmm...) on the same wall but .... wait for it....the day after it was newly painted. That is when I discovered Spray 'n Wash is great for taking crayon off walls. I monitored all art supplies with a healthy stealth after that.

Update

Ok, so we visited our cardiologist yesterday to get the lay of the land for the Hubs.  Seems there is an issue with one of the grafts from ...
