The Good News Is --

The good news is that I found my camera charger and case!  I thought it was gone forever in the move but the truth of it is, they never GOT moved so I found them at the other house.  WhooHoo!

So, in celebration I decided to take a couple of snaps of certain things in our new abode.  It was difficult to get pics of hardly anything because of the boxes still stacked about but I managed to get a couple.

The dining table spoken of in an earlier blog

Fireplace and just ignore the Christmas ornament hanging from the ceiling fan -- NOT MY DOING!

Entryway -- sorry about the moving boxes -- just ignore those as well

So, there is a brief glimpse at our new digs.  I am being steady and slow getting things unpacked but steady and slow wins the race -- right?

Oh my goodness--your new home! It's lovely and has a wonderful warmth to it. How grand to have a fireplace too--is it a wood, or gas fireplace? I hope you push the boxes aside and put your feet up to rest from time to time!

Thank you, Bonnie! The fireplace is one thing I really liked when we looked at this house. The one in the old house is huge but it doesn't possess the same coziness as this one. It is wood burning but also has a gas igniter so we installed gas logs because that is what we are used to and it doesn't bother my allergies like wood does. We have used it several times now in their weird, roller coaster winter we are having. The house is only three years older than our former home but the style is different and it seems much older which I personally like. I think we will be comfortable here.

It certainly was the winter for you to have a fireplace! I'm sure you've already started making wonderful memories there--especially where your closer to family now!

I do like being closer for sure. I always lived close to my family and these years that I have been so distanced from my kids just didn't feel normal. It just feels "right".

Update

Ok, so we visited our cardiologist yesterday to get the lay of the land for the Hubs.  Seems there is an issue with one of the grafts from ...
